Early Scholars Program

Finish high school and start college at the same time!

NEBC’s Early Scholars program allows high school student to enroll in college classes with NEBC students. Students received dual credit (college and high school) for these classes. Students are held to the same academic standards as college students. Early Scholars develop research, study, and time management skills while experiencing college in a safe and welcoming environment.

How this program works

Dual Credit for High School and College

Courses taken in the Early Scholars Program meet both high school and college requirements. Early Scholars can choose to take one or more classes per semester to augment their high school education.

Associate Degrees

Early Scholars with advanced academic potential are eligible to apply to NEBC’s undergraduate program to pursue an associate degree. Depending on a student’s motivation, it is possible to earn an associate degree while completing high school. NEBC offers associate degrees in General Studies, Biblical Studies, Business Administration, and Christian Education.

Academic Requirement

Students eligible for the Early Scholars program will be high school juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. High school sophomores who show exceptional academic abilities and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students who wish to enroll in NEBC math courses are expected to have earned a B or higher in high school Algebra I.

Application Process

  • Complete and submit an online Early Scholars application.
  • Submit a high school transcript.
  • Submit a recommendation from his/her high school principal or homeschool coordinator.

Tuition

  • Courses cost $250 each
