Bennington is everything you might imagine Vermont to be, from the quintessential Main Street experience of shops and restaurants to sidewalk cafés and a vibrant cultural scene with a local theater, art galleries and museums.  It boasts a rich history, stunning architecture, locally owned shops, and small town hospitality.

Nestled in the southwest corner of Vermont, Bennington is a reflection of this idyllic land of maple syrup, quaint villages, and dazzling fall foliage of the Green Mountains. In addition to the beauty, Vermont’s godless culture can also be seen across the state in the great number of century-old, empty church buildings which dot the landscape.
Vermont has become a land without God.

In addition to being in one of the most liberal areas of our country, Vermont is also the least churched state in the nation. The Barna group’s  top two least-churched cities in the Northeast are within a short distance from the NEBC campus.  These statistics fail to describe the individual lives of Vermonters who are lost and need to hear the gospel.  Instead of the truth of God’s Word, they seek to fill the God void with heroin and false religions. On March 22, 2014, a Gnostic church, with elements of the ancient heresy and new age philosophy, along with various forms of spiritualism, opened its doors just a few miles down the road.

With a cultural worldview in stark opposition to Christ, NEBC purposes to bring hope and to train students to share God’s presence here where the need is so great. Bennington, Vermont is strategically located in the geographic center of the Northeast. According to the North American Mission Board, 67 million people live within this area and 82% of them are considered lost: that is 52 million people who don’t know Jesus!

Northeastern Baptist College exists to impact the United States and the world through providing an academically sound, biblically strong, and practically relevant college education from our campus strategically located in the Northeast.  Our students are being trained not only in the classroom, but in the community by internships, volunteering and mentorships with area churches.

Already the Bennington area is feeling the impact of NEBC students. All of our students serve in local ministries and churches, playing and leading music, working alongside local church plants, volunteering in outreach ministries like food pantries and other aids, leading Bible Studies, teaching Children’s programs, and more.

Be a part of what NEBC is doing! Your support of NEBC today will have an impact lasting for eternity. Please consider adding us to your budget for regular monthly support.
