Founded in 2013, the college is expanding quickly and has a unique story and purpose. Located in beautiful Bennington, Vermont, Northeastern Baptist College offers Graduate and Undergraduate degrees and a dual-enrollment program for high school students.

A little more than a decade ago, our President, Dr. Ballard, pursued God’s call to establish a college in the Northeast to train Christian students to impact the region.

Trusting in God’s faithfulness, he and his family followed God’s leading and stepped out in faith. Today, Northeastern Baptist College is training students from all over the world and they are making a difference!

Our Leadership

At NEBC, we are training men and women to IMPACT the world! The academics are intense, the mentoring and practical application requirements rigorous, and the setting is in a region that today stands as the least churched area in the country.

On September 16, 2014 The Vermont State Board of Education, upon the recommendation of The Vermont Higher Education Council and The Vermont Agency of Education, voted unanimously to Authorize NEBC as a Degree Granting Institution. On January 17, 2024, The Vermont State Board of Education unanimously voted to renew NEBC’s operating approval and degree-granting authority for the Undergraduate program.  The Board also unanimously voted for initial operating approval and degree-granting authority for NEBC’s Master’s Program.

A few minutes away, NEBC’s Hogue Library houses the Hebrews Cafe and is the largest Christian library in the state of Vermont. Jehovah Jireh Hall, NEBC’s student housing, is located a block from the Library.

Costs & Scholarships

Central to Northeastern’s purpose is a commitment to making college affordable and to sending out graduates who are free from educational debt. NEBC offers an amazing Church & Pastor Scholarship to every applying student, a scholarship that makes a college education at NEBC one of the most affordable in the country. Further, NEBC offers a Work Study program so that students can work as payment for their tuition.

Through these aids and options, NEBC makes it possible for anyone seeking a college education to respond to God’s call on their life and to pursue their interest in deeper biblical and theological knowledge–no matter their financial situation.
