About

Dr. Lorrie Francis earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from George Mason University. She earned the M.Div. in Christian Education and the PhD in Higher Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Francis teaches students to apply an educational philosophy that is built on a Biblical worldview. She also models and encourages lifelong learning. Dr. Francis’s role as VP of Institutional Readiness is vital as our young institution progresses toward “national accreditation from the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). She uses her analytical background to evaluate the College’s current educational effectiveness and develop strategies to improve teaching outcomes. She helps the college determine whether or not the students are learning what we intend to teach, making sure the College’s Purpose and Mission Statements are being realized consistently.
