A 34,000-Foot View
Day or night, rain or shine, the view from a jet flying at 34,000 feet pleases me. From time to time I pause my reading and enjoy looking out the window. I also relish the connection opportunities on a flight. Meeting new friends and 
learning something about them often opens the door to share the gospel. It happened again on the first leg of my flight yesterday afternoon. I met and shared with two new friends. What a thrill! Sharing the gospel is one of my life priorities.
Last night my flight from Atlanta, GA to Albany, NY was different. The man nearest me did not want to talk. Though I had two interesting books on my tablet, I decided to pass the 2 hours and 17 minutes visiting with my Best Friend – Jesus! I talked to Him and listened to Him through His Word.
In time, my prayers focused on our Forming the Framework for the Future campaign. I claimed the promise in James 1:7. I asked for special wisdom to lead the campaign over the next three months. As the plane sped toward Albany, I enjoyed the 34,000–foot view, not of the ground below, but of the path to victory in Phase One: Forming the Framework for the Future.
Jesus said, “Ask, and keep on asking, and you will receive. Seek, and keep on seeking, and you will find. Knock, and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) While the verse always guides our path, let me share a few ways it will guide us in these last three months of 2017.
Ask…
First, you have an important role on the path to victory. I asked you to ask the Lord to provide $5,000,000 before Christmas. Thank you for asking. The need is urgent. Please continue asking. Now, I am asking for even more specific intercession. Notice the chart below. Will you join me in lifting these daily requests before our prayer-hearing Father? Ask, and keep on asking, until He gives the victory.

Seek…
Seek the Lord, asking Him if He wants you to give. Seek the Father, asking Him if He wants to use you to share the campaign with others, inviting them to get involved. Pray for me as I seek to find the donors for whom we are praying.
Knock…
Pray for me as I knock on doors, looking for opportunities to share the vision, telling what God is doing, and inviting others to join in God’s work.
